Redeemer has an active bell choir. We ring 3 octaves of Malmark bells. Bell choir meets on Thursday evening at 7 pm and rehearsals last for 45 minutes. We play a variety of music using many techniques. Happily sharing our music with the congregation, we play on holidays such as Christmas, Palm Sunday or Easter and usually 1 Sunday a month. We are always looking for new ringers. If the need is there we are ready to add another group of ringers.
The bells are directed by Elizabeth Barron. A graduate of Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education, major in voice and piano. She has attended bell seminars and courses at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ. A private piano teacher,Director of music at Redeemer for many years and former owner/teacher of the Yamaha Music School (an international preschool music program), she is an experienced music educator.
